I'm back.





I'm half way through my holidays. I spent some time with my and his g/f.

I did take my laptop away with me, but upon my return, found my hard drive was ruined. Guess it didn't travel too well.

A lovely friend had a spare laptop he was not using so came to my rescue.

I dropped it off at my local computer shop so they could transfer the data over to this one.

Picked it up this morning only to find everything was up side down on the screen. Not being all that good with technology, back to the shop I went.

Wonderful to be back online. Now I just have to get the never ending saga of my mobile phone sorted.

 I hate to break it to you but mobile phone saga's will never end. Their whole system is designed around it being that way!

I have been fighting Optus for four months. Had no problem before then, all worked really well.

One more call to them, then off to the Telecommunication Ombudsman.

 Glad you are back on line. I would never take my laptop on a plane....It has too much of my life on it! I'd be scared I might lose it.

I've taken it on the coach with me before and didn't have a problem.
Both times I packed clothes around it and told the drivers it was inside my bag when he was stowing it.
Guess there were extra bumps on the way home, so damaged the hard drive.
The one I've got now is smaller and lighter, so next time go, I can take it on board with me.
I was a little concerned when I got the data transferred from old to new, that the guys in the shop might have had a peep at the photos and videos I had.
